I have been trying to figure out the best way to do both Teacher Ease and my class blog. What I think I will do for the rest of the year is to send a Teacher Ease notice that a new post has been made to the blog. That way you will know when to check it. I will try to post each Tue. or there about. Continue to send me email addresses for Teacher Ease and I will set it up for you. There has been lots of problems with Teacher Ease and we are slowly getting them worked out. In the Tues. packet is information about our winter party. Do not forget we will be making ornaments Dec. 9th from 1-2. All parents welcome, Reading O students will meet Dec. 10. SS race 2 test Dec. 16th and Dec. AR test due by the 18th. Also due by the 18th is the Patrick Henry speech. Interims will go home on the 9th. Whee.........."that's all folks!"

Just a quick update. As you know, Snapshot has gone away. Hanover teachers are now using Teacher Ease for Weekly updates. Grades are still on Engrade. If you have not signed up for this service, please email me the email address you would like to use. Ornament Making day will be Dec. 9th from 1-2. Parents are welcome. I also need each student to bring in a shoe box to take their ornaments home in. Our holiday party will be Dec. 18th. Our homeroom moms have a great party planned and more information will be coming home next week. Remind your child to always have their AR book with them. They have a little free time each day to read at school and then they need to take it home with them to read a little each night. Dec. AR test needs to be taken by Dec 18. Patrick Henry's speech is also due to be said by Dec. 18th . I encourage the students not to put things off until the last day.

Happy Thanksgiving!
With "Turkey" day behind us, that means that the Christmas season is upon us! I want to let you know about a little project that our class is doing. The class will be collecting old shoes, warm hats and gloves, gently used coats, and old bookbags for the homeless. I will make sure these items are delivered to my church who will make sure they are given to people who are in need. Students may bring these items to school to me or they may be lefted on my front porch. Please check back to find out more about our annual ornament making afternoon. I will be setting the date and posting a list of materals needed. All parents and grandparents who would like to help are welcome. It is so much fun!

Back to School Night
Thanks to all who came out for "Back to School Night". It seems I never have enough time to cover everything and I have to talk a mile a minute. I hope tonight did answer some of your questions. I am thinking about doing a short demo (about 45min) on the Promethean Board one evening. Totally optional. Several parents indicated interest on how it is used in the classroom. I will see what I can come up with for sometime in October.
For parents who still have questions, please let me know and we can set up a conference or a team meeting. A team meeting includes you and me and your child. I like to include the student so that they can have imput. These meetings can start as soon as next week.
Here is a brief run down up upcoming events. More info to follow.
