Exciting update!!!! As of Dec. 7th, we have collected 43.85 for Heifer International. That means we will be able to send a flock of ducks to a needy family and a flock of chicks to another! Stayed tuned to see what else we send!

Here is the web site for an online keyboarding site. The class loves it and it will help then lean to keyboard which will be useful since 2 of their SOL test will be taken on line this year.

Exciting project and updates

We are so excited to announce our winter class project. We as a class will be collecting change until Dec. 16 in hopes of raising enough money to donate a flock of ducks to a needy family. We will be doing this through Heifer International. (http://www.heifer.org/homeview?msource=magento) I have explained that this is not a door to door solicitation. Students might want to earn this by doing an extra chore or donating their ice cream money a couple of days. The students are very excited about this and we will keep you posted about our progress.

Dec 12th 1 -2 pm – ornament making (this is a change in the original date)
Dec 14th-Reading Olympics meeting, Race 2 test
Dec. 15th -4th grade Spelling Bee 1:10 in the Cafeteria, Hat Day, SODA,
Dec. 16th Premier of the Veteran/Va. program 12 noon with Winter party to follow. Parents invited to attend. Cd’s will be ready for pick up
Dec. 20th-McDonald’s night

CHANGE IN ORNAMENT MAKING DATE

Due to 2 conflicts, we need to change our ornament making from Dec. 14th at 1 to Dec.12th at 1:00. All parents welcome to help out.

Dec. News

The “world premier” of the Virginia/Veteran program will be Dec. 16th at 12 noon in Mrs. Jones class. The winter party will follow. Parents are invited to attend! CD’s of the program will be available for pickup that day.

The class is on track to earn a special treat. We will be making ornaments Dec. 14th at 1:00. I will need some parents to help out. Let me know if you would like to attend
