Pack a lunch on Monday, Oct. 3

I thought we would make Monday a special day. We are on a field trip Mon. morning and are getting back after our normal lunch time. Instead of switching lunch times with another class, I thought it would be fun to eat a bag lunch in the room and finish a movie that we had started last week. So....pack a lunch and a drink on Mon.

It's A School Night

by Ali and Cindy Parente

T'was the night before school started
when all through the town
The parents were cheering
It was a riotous sound
By eight the kids were washed
and tucked into bed
When memories of homework
Filled them with dread
New pencils, new folders,
new notebooks, too
New teachers, new friends ~
their anxiety grew
The parents just giggled when they
learned of this fright
And shouted upstairs ~
GO TO BED--IT'S A SCHOOL NIGHT!

Year 33 here I come!

Thanks for coming out last night to meet me and see the classroom.  I have sent out the first Smilebox so if you did not get it, email me your home email and I will send it out to you this weekend.  There were a few that bounced back to me.

A few reminders for the first day of school:
*Do not forget your snack and  bottled water.
*We will be going outside each day and students will be running laps.  They will need to bring their tennis shoes if they wear sandels to school.
*All students will need an assignment pad.

Have a great weekend!  Mrs. J
